The bistro is a "from scratch" kitchen. We strive to provide the
freshest possible ingredients made
to order. Our chef team has degrees
in the culinary arts from various
schools and has traveled around the
United States, experiencing
different flavors and cuisines. This
has brought a unique combination of
talent and experience that is hard
to find and is truly a remarkable
asset to our restaurant. The bistro
prepares food that is both
comforting and exotic. The menu
changes several times per year so
there is always something different
for everyone. We are also very
excited to offer wine dinners
throughout the year.

Doug likes to promote wine that is
complimentary to the food at a
reasonable price to the consumer. He
feels wine should be enjoyed as a
complete dining experience. Wines
are offered both by the glass and
the bottle.
The
Chef/Owner
Doug
Langevin began his career at the age
of 17 at the Sugar River Valley Tech
Center. He continued his education
at Johnson and Wales University in
Rhode Island receiving a bachelor
degree in culinary arts. Doug
quickly gained a wide range of
experience in top, high rated
restaurants and companies including,
The Gatehouse and Cheeky Money
Restaurant in Rhode Island, Cheeky
Monkey in South Beach Miami and
Clydes Restaurant Group in
Washington DC as well as Einstein's
Restaurant, part of the MetrotainmentGoup in Atlanta
Georgia.
In November 2003 Doug returned to his hometown to open Bistro Nouveau in Claremont, NH. A very successful 70 seat Bistro with an off premise catering company, Bistro Nouveau soon expanded in April 2007 moving operations to the Center of Eastman in Grantham offering multi dining rooms, larger kitchen and on sight event/function room that can accommodate up to 200 people.
Innovative food, fresh ingredients, good value since 2003, Bistro Nouveau has stayed true to its motto. For almost a decade, Chef Doug has been showcasing American cuisine. Doug's culinary expertise coupled with his desire to provide fine cuisine incorporating local produce from the region has repeat patrons returning for more. In addition to comfortable and casual dining Doug offers vegetarian dinners and gluten free dishes - something for everyone. The restaurant also offers "Lighter Bites" smaller portions plates for the less hearty appetites.
